Exfoliate and shave at least 24 hours before your appointment to ensure your skin is silky smooth and ready for your tan. Skip the lotions, oils, and perfumes on the day of your tan, and slip into some loose, dark clothing so you're comfortable and protected after your session.
-
Wear loose, dark clothing. Preferably long sleeves and pants to minimize skin to skin contact while your tan develops. For more information visit the Preparing for Your Tan tab.

2 days before is the sweet spot. Your tan will have time to develop fully and settle into your skin so you're looking your best when it counts.

For The Ritual — rinse before bed or after wearing it all day, at least 8–12 hours after your appointment.
For The Rapid — rinse time depends on how deep you want to go:
Light — 1–2 hours
Medium — 3–4 hours
Dark — 4–5 hours
Your first rinse is water only — no soap, no scrubbing. Just let it run off. Keep in mind your color will continue to develop for up to 24 hours after your first rinse, so don't panic if it looks lighter right after — it's not done yet.

Your tan will typically last 5-10 days depending on your skin and how well you maintain it. Moisturize daily, avoid long soaks, and pat dry instead of rubbing. That's really all it takes to keep it looking fresh.
-
Moisturize daily with a tan-friendly lotion to keep your glow hydrated and luminous. Avoid long baths, hot tubs, and pools, and gently pat yourself dry after showers to maintain that gorgeous tan.

DHA, the active ingredient in spray tan solution, works only on the top layer of skin and the formulas we use are non-toxic. There is no evidence that DHA is harmful, but every pregnancy is different. We recommend consulting your doctor before booking if you have any concerns.

The Rapid — You can ease back into light activity after your first rinse at 1–5 hours. Wear loose, breathable clothing, avoid excessive sweating, and shower immediately after to remove sweat before it causes patchiness.
The Ritual — Wait until after your first rinse at 8–12 hours before any activity. The same rules apply — keep it light, wear breathable clothing, and shower right after.
Regardless of which service you book, avoid high intensity workouts that cause heavy sweating for the full 24 hours to protect your color.

The formula is transfer resistant and dries quickly, but wear loose, dark clothing after your appointment and full-length clothing if you're sleeping in it. Any transfer that does happen is water-soluble and washes out of most fabrics easily.
